If you have thinning or balding hair, hair transplant surgery — also called hair transplants or hair restoration — can give you natural-looking results. Hair transplant surgery moves healthy hair to thinning or balding areas.
When considering a hair transplant, you want someone you can trust. Our nationally recognized, fellowship-trained surgeons have advanced skills in the latest microsurgical approaches — delicate surgery that moves tissue, blood vessels and nerves to another area. Our expertise ensures you get excellent, long-lasting results — so good that even a barber or stylist can’t tell you’ve had the procedure.
Surgeons take a small area of skin, called a graft, from the back or side of your head, where your hair is usually the thickest, and place it in a bald or thinning area. For most people, the transplant is placed near the hairline (called a hairline transplant) or on top of your head. Once the transplanted skin heals, it will continue to grow hair.
Graft hair transplant surgery is the most common approach, but surgeons can use other methods like scalp reduction. This method removes a small area of bald skin and stretches nearby skin with hair over it, stitching it into place. Scalp reduction works best for bald areas on the top or back of your head.

Hair transplants for men and women can offer excellent, natural-looking results. To have hair restoration surgery, you must be in good health and have enough hair at the back and sides of your head to transplant to thinning or bald areas.
Hair transplant surgery is an outpatient procedure that doesn’t require an overnight stay in the hospital. After surgery, you may have a little bleeding around the transplant area. For most people, pain is minimal, and aspirin is typically enough to keep you comfortable.
