About Eric Wan Tan, MD
Dr. Eric Tan is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Orthopaedic Surgery at USC, and he specializes in both common and complex problems of the foot and ankle. He has extensive experience in arthroscopic procedures, joint replacements and reconstructive procedures and is actively involved in scientific research. Author of numerous articles and book chapters, Dr. Tan has presented work at various national and international meetings. His areas of interest include foot and ankle arthritis, total ankle replacements, cartilage preservation and restoration, fractures of the foot and ankle, and application of stem cells in the treatment of various foot and ankle conditions. In addition, he is actively involved with numerous national organizations including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Association and the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society. Philosophy of Care: At the USC Foot & Ankle Center, we are dedicated to the advanced treatment of common and complex foot and ankle problems. Whether you are a professional athlete or performer, weekend warrior, or just someone who enjoys being on your feet, we offer not only innovative surgical care, but perhaps more importantly, unique, one-of-a-kind treatment and rehabilitation plans. Our goal is to develop a partnership focused on helping you relieve your symptoms and achieve your goals. Your care team is composed of physicians, surgeons, physiatrists, physical therapists, and orthotists. All of them have different areas of expertise, but one common focus you! Dr. Tan received his medical degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and he completed a fellowship in the foot and ankle program in Baltimore, Maryland. ?
