Rachel Lander-Canseco, RD

Rachel Lander-Canseco, MS, RD, is an outpatient registered dietitian with Keck Medicine of USC who specializes in supporting patients undergoing cancer treatment. She is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of her patients, helping them navigate their nutritional needs during this challenging time. She believes the most important aspect of her relationship with patients is building trust and rapport so patients feel seen, heard and supported throughout their health journey.

Rachel assesses each patient’s nutrition needs and continuously evaluates and monitors the effectiveness of medical nutrition therapy interventions to ensure best outcomes. In addition to helping patients in cancer treatment, she has extensive experience with diabetes and weight management as well as nutrition therapy for other complex conditions.

Rachel earned her Master of Science degree in family and consumer sciences with a concentration in nutrition and dietetics from California State University, Northridge. She is a certified diabetes care and education specialist and holds additional training in obesity care for both pediatric and adult populations.

In her free time, Rachel enjoys exercising, spending time with her dogs and traveling.
