Megan Van Ligten, MD, is a primary care physician with Keck Medicine of USC. She is passionate about helping patients manage their overall health and well-being, with a focus on preventive care and supporting patients through all stages of adulthood.
Dr. Van Ligten believes the most important aspect of the patient-doctor relationship is mutual respect. To ensure that each patient feels acknowledged and valued, she has made her practice a space where they can openly discuss their concerns and collaborate with her on treatment plans and other decisions.
After earning her medical degree from the University of California, Irvine, she completed her residency in internal medicine at Los Angeles General. During her studies, she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
Dr. Van Ligten serves as a clinical assistant professor of medicine for the Keck School of Medicine of USC. Her research interests focus on quality improvement and reducing disparities in health care access, both locally and abroad.
Dr. Van Ligten enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, tending to her plants, playing with her dog and exploring new restaurants with her spouse.
