About Christopher Orlando, MD

Christopher Orlando, MD, MPH, is a neurologist with Keck Medicine of USC who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of multiple sclerosis and related autoimmune disorders of the central nervous system. He also provides advanced care to patients with epilepsy, stroke, tremor, migraine and other chronic headache conditions.

Dr. Orlando’s top priority when working with patients is to help them gain a clearer understanding of their neurologic condition and the treatment options available so they feel empowered to manage their symptoms. He strives to build relationships grounded in education, collaboration and shared decision-making, ensuring that patients feel supported at every step of their journey.

After earning his medical degree and a master’s degree in public health from the University of Utah School of Medicine, Dr. Orlando completed his neurology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. A multiple sclerosis/neuroimmunology fellowship at the Keck School of Medicine of USC completed his medical training.

Dr. Orlando serves as an assistant professor of clinical neurology for the Keck School of Medicine of USC. His research focuses on how the conditions in which people work and live contribute to differences in multiple sclerosis severity among diverse populations.

Outside of work, Dr. Orlando enjoys reading to and playing Mario Kart with his children.

I tell my patients they are the president of their health, and I am a member of their cabinet. In other words, my job is to give them expert advice as we create and execute care plans tailored to their needs. The final decision always belongs to the patient, and I am ready to support that decision-making with my specific area of expertise and use all the resources available to help them reach the outcomes most important to them.
