Dr. Chandra Patel is a Los Angeles native who studied medicine at Western University of Health Sciences. She went on to complete a residency in Internal Medicine as well as a fellowship in pulmonary diseases and critical care medicine at Loma Linda University Medical Center. She now serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine for USC’s Pulmonary Critical Care and Sleep Medicine Division as well as a practicing physician in Pulmonary Critical Care. Her interests include the impact of behavioral modifications like diet and exercise on chronic inflammatory diseases, asthma, exercise physiology and humanism in medicine. Dr. Patel believes that treatment of patients must include a focus on the emotional and behavioral components of their lives, and she strives to take a collaborative approach to wellness rather than focusing solely on disease management.
