Brittany Gurney, MS, RD, is an outpatient dietitian with Keck Medicine of USC providing comprehensive medical nutrition therapy to patients with complex nutrition needs. She provides nutrition education related to weight management, diabetes, surgery optimization, gastrointestinal issues, food allergies and intolerances, and neurological, kidney and heart conditions.
She completed her Master of Science in Nutritional Science at California State University, Los Angeles. She is also a Certified Nutrition Support Clinician, designated by the National Board of Nutrition Support Certification. Her research interests center on how nutrition and lifestyle factors influence the digestive system and overall long-term health.
Gurney is actively involved in growing Keck Medicine’s outpatient dietitian program. She also participates in monthly amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS) multidisciplinary clinics.
Raised in Oregon, she has called Los Angeles home for more than 15 years.
