The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department at USC Verdugo Hills Hospital is an integral part of the USC Rehabilitation Services and Therapy program, dedicated to providing comprehensive care and support for patients in their recovery journey. A wide range of treatment approaches and resources are available to support the needs of our patients, with a special focus on restoring function and mobility to improve quality of life. Our expertly trained therapists utilize a comprehensive rehabilitation strategy to assess, treat and address the unique needs of each individual.

Personalized treatment plans are developed for each patient’s unique needs and lifestyle. Building trust through extensive one-on-one therapy in a comfortable and convenient environment ensures patients can target their short and long term goals. Onsite orthopaedic doctors provide added comprehensive care so patients can confidently focus on recovery. Our program offers comprehensive treatment approaches specializing in spinal, orthopaedic, pelvic health, neurological and vestibular disorders. Patients also have the added benefit of aquatic physical therapy through a community partnership with the Crescenta-Cañada Family YMCA. Our wellness classes — FallProof® and Get Up & Go — are taught by physical therapists and exercise physiologists, and they are designed to promote healthy living and independence for seniors.

Specialized Occupational Therapy

Our certified hand therapist specializes in upper extremity and hand injuries to improve the patients functional activities of daily living.

Advanced Physical Therapy

Patients have access to high-tech therapy equipment like the NeuroCom SMART Balance Master, which helps patients with balance and rehabilitation.

Personalized Speech Therapy

Speech therapy evaluates and treats communication and speech problems that a patient may experience for a variety of reasons, including after an injury.
