Minimally Invasive Digestive Health Care Treatments for Obesity and Metabolic Disease

Weight loss can be difficult to achieve and maintain solely with diet and exercise. If you do not qualify for bariatric surgery and/or are struggling with obesity and obesity-related health conditions such as diabetes, our team provides other minimally invasive treatments for weight loss. We also offer care options designed to help if you have regained weight after bariatric surgery. Our endobariatric specialists are highly experienced in the following procedures:

  • Duodenal mucosal resurfacing for treatment of type 2 diabetes
  • Endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty (ESG)
  • Intragastric balloon for weight loss
  • Revisional ESG for patients with post–sleeve gastrectomy
  • Transoral outlet reduction (TORe) for patients with post–gastric bypass

To determine if you are a good candidate for an endoscopic procedure, you will first need to complete a six-month behavioral and lifestyle program with a dietitian and clinical nutrition team. Then you will work with our multidisciplinary team of gastrointestinal (GI) specialists, hepatologists and endocrinologists, clinical nutritionists and bariatric surgeons, to decide which endoscopic procedure is right for you.
