Same-day Appointments

We recognize that unanticipated health care needs may arise. To help you find care when you need it, we accommodate same-day appointments at USC Healthcare Center 2 (HC2). A call to the office is all that is necessary to provide the highest quality health care for your unpredicted needs.

After-hours Urgent Care

Our Evaluation and Treatment Clinic (ETC) at Keck Hospital of USC offers urgent, non-emergency services to treat medical issues such as a urinary tract infection or a complication from a chronic illness.

ETC visits are by appointment. Your Keck Medicine doctor will refer you to the ETC, where staff have access to your medical records, as well as to laboratory and radiographic equipment, so you can have lab work done or get an MRI, CT scan or X-ray. The ETC is open 24 hours a day and staffed by either an emergency medicine or internal medicine physician.

How to be seen at the ETC:

For urgent medical issues, call: (800) USC-CARE or (323) 442-5100.
Ask to speak to the on-call physician to discuss your medical concerns.
If necessary, the on-call physician will refer you to the ETC for evaluation.

If you need immediate emergency care, please call 911 or visit the emergency room at USC Verdugo Hills Hospital or your local emergency department.

Patient Resources

Executive Health Program

Our physicians are members of the Executive Health team, specializing in early disease detection and prevention at the Executive Health Center. Each exam is customized according to your current health, family medical history and lifestyle, as well as scientifically based screening guidelines. You will receive concierge-level service through a personal coordinator, who manages client scheduling, follow-up, physician contact, reporting and billing.

Travel Health

Comprehensive evaluations prior to and following foreign travel can be essential to your good health. Our general internists develop personalized treatment plans that may include vaccinations and other preventive measures to avoid illness. If needed, care can be coordinated with subspecialists from the fields of gastroenterology and infectious diseases.
